Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am a 33-year-old male with a lean physique who wants to gain weight. My current weight is 119 pounds. Please help. Thanks.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern. Weight gain by increasing muscle mass by increasing physical activity is good. I suggest you eat more boiled vegetables and fruits, avoid junk foods such as carbonated beverages, ice creams, cookies, etc., practice yoga, brisk walking for 45 minutes daily, eat one boiled egg daily in the morning, drink 100 ml milk or eat 100 ml curd daily, eat one boiled potato or one sweet potato and 100 gm roasted groundnut with jaggery daily is excellent. Get the following tests such as hemoglobin, complete blood count, C-reactive protein, fasting blood glucose, serum albumin, serum creatinine, and routine urine examination. I hope this information will help. Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thanks for the reply. Do you suggest any supplements? Thanks.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern. Supplements are of little use. Get the tests done to rule out any underlying disease, and then we can consider further diet changes. I hope this information will help. Thank you.
