Hello doctor,
My 1-month-old baby is suffering from acidity, even after drinking milk. There is some relief from taking carom seeds juice. He is currently on cholecalciferol medications. Is so much gas normal for an infant?

Please stop carom seeds juice completely. It is normal for an infant to get gas, and no medication is needed. I would suggest the following measures in case of excess gas. Keep the child at the inclined position of 20 degrees to the ground at all times under supervision. Start
Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them and take medications with their consent. Avoid oil massage, and only mother's or formula milk will be given. Nothing else is to be given. All of the above is to be done after the child has been evaluated physically by a pediatrician to rule out any major issues with the child.
