Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

Sometimes, a single round of scaling is not enough for the gums. I suggest you follow the instructions mentioned below,

1. Get it done in two to three sittings. This will gradually reduce inflammation.

2. Try to maintain good oral hygiene.

3. Using a mouth rinse after every meal and before bedtime is a must.

4. Drink plenty of water and avoid soda drinks.

I hope this has helped you.

Thanks and regards.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

My dentist is on holiday for a few weeks. Is there anything I can do in the meantime?

Please advise.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I suggest you follow the instructions mentioned below,

1. Rinse your mouth with salt and warm water three to four times daily and before bedtime.

2. Avoid spicy or hot food and drink, which may irritate the inflamed gums.

3. Brush twice daily, and make sure you move your toothbrush in a circular motion.

4. Kindly use a soft bristles toothbrush and floss daily so there is no chance of food or bacteria lodging anywhere.

I hope this has helped you.

Thanks and regards.
