Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have infection of the scrotal hair. At the hair root, there is some white bump. Please suggest medicine for the problem.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Well, I did not get any photos from your side. So I can just assume what it can be. As you said it has white bump it could be folliculitis. It contains pus which can get ruptured. Tablet Droxyl (Cefadroxil) 500 mg twice a day for a week and apply T-bact cream (Mupirocin) over it. Continue the same treatment for seven days and follow up after that.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

For your reference, I have attached two photos. I also have white bumps on the scrotal skin. Please advise any medicine.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Well I closely looked at your photos (attachment removed to protect patient identity). In the second photo, you plucked and showed the root of hair which is white. Well, everything is normal. First photo is totally normal and scrotal skin looks like this only. The bumps are nothing, but hair root. Because these hairs are thick and hard roots of these hairs are also thick and bigger than normal which looks like bump in scrotal skin. There is one more point, scrotal skin is thin and hair root are thick so such looks come. So, do not worry at all and do not think much about it. You have totally normal skin.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your answer. But there are large numbers of small spots that appear over the scrotal skin. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, every hair would have such bumps. Your photo shows absolutely normal skin. So, do not worry about it.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
