Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My wife aged 38 has been suffering from abnormal hair loss for the last few years. Hair continuously falls the whole day. It is so severe that we have to clean the rooms every few minutes. Even without any touch on the head, it falls continuously. We have a daughter aged 10. We consulted with a doctor and she is taking medicines as per his advice but the condition has not improved. Kindly prescribe for her.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your wife's concern. Has she done a blood test recently for thyroid profile, hemoglobin level, serum ferritin levels? Could you please attach the prescription and revert back? Also, send the image of her scalp. I would like to see if it is generalized hair loss or pattern hair loss.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I am sending all the reports. Kindly check and suggest.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I have gone through the file attached (attachment removed to protect patient identity). This is female pattern baldness. All reports are normal. Treatment given is also perfectly right. It takes time to show improvement for female pattern baldness. Also along with Minoxidil application which is standard treatment, she may consider PRP (platelet-rich plasma) procedure for better results.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
