What should I do to improve my weight and hair growth?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 27-year-old male. My height is 164 cm, and my weight is 46 kg. I am having severe hair fall and very less hair in my moustache and beard. My physique is not compromising as I am skinny.

What should I do?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Before starting treatment for your hair fall problem, we have to assess your health status. So, I suggest you do the following blood tests.

1) Complete blood count.

2) Thyroid function test.

3) Fasting and postprandial blood sugar.

4) Testosterone level.

Anemia, lack of proteins and vitamins in your diet, dandruff, and hormonal issues will cause hair fall.

Please do all the blood tests mentioned above and get back to me.

In the meantime, take a protein-rich diet, fruits, and green vegetables. Drink plenty of water. Apply aloe vera-rich hair tonics to retain your scalp moisture and prevent dry itch scalp.

Regards.
