Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My daughter had a bad relationship along with hallucinations. This has been happening for the past two weeks since she moved here with me. It only happened when she lived with her boyfriend, but now it has started here. She says she can hear people talking and thinks I am conspiring against her. Also, she thinks people are following her. She was also addicted to the tablet Ativan. I am trying to help her, but she says she is not crazy. Her boyfriend was manipulative and had borderline personality disorder. Also, there is a history of domestic violence, and he portrays himself as a victim.
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thank you for your query.
I understand your concern. Your daughter represents some psychotic symptoms like hallucinations and delusions—substance abuse like Methamphetamine and cannabis. Cannabis can cause psychosis. The condition will improve if it is just a substance-induced disorder; however, treatment is required. So I suggest you to take tablet Olanzapine (antipsychotic) 5 mg or Risperidone (antipsychotic) 2 mg. Kindly consult a psychiatrist, talk to them, and take medications with their consent.
I hope this has helped you. Thank you.
