Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I had unprotected sex and got periods the next day only. After that, I did not get my periods in and suddenly next month I got it with the heavy flow which generally happens on the second day of periods that too lasted for that day only. My cycle of periods is generally four days. Can I still be pregnant?
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
It is unlikely that you are pregnant if you had a normal period after having unprotected sex the day before. However, it is possible to experience some irregularities in your menstrual cycle due to various factors, including stress, changes in weight, hormonal imbalances, or other health conditions. The heavy flow that you experienced has been a result of a delayed or irregular period, rather than implantation bleeding or pregnancy. However, if you are still concerned about the possibility of pregnancy, you can take a home pregnancy test to confirm or rule out this possibility.
Thankyou.
