Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I observed some amount of blood while urinating with a little abdominal pain, and I had the urge to urinate more for 4 days. Is it an infection or something else? Should I wait for some more days?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Blood in the urine (hematuria) and frequent urination can be signs of a urinary tract infection (UTI) or a sexually transmitted infection (STI), such as chlamydia or gonorrhea. If you are experiencing pain or discomfort during urination, or if the blood in your urine is accompanied by fever, chills, or lower back pain, it is important to do a blood and urine test. These symptoms may indicate a more serious infection that requires prompt treatment. In general, it is a good idea to consult a gynecologist if you have concerns about your reproductive health, especially if you have had unprotected sex or are experiencing any unusual symptoms.

I hope this helps.
