Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My liver is normal in size of 16 cm with moderately increased echogenicity of parenchyma (Grade I to II fatty changes) suggestive of mild hepatomegaly. There is no evidence of any solid or cystic intra-hepatic lesion. The portal vein and hepatic veins appear normal. There is no evidence of any dilated intra or extra hepatic biliary radicals. Kindly provide your thoughts on this.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You have fatty liver. It is a common condition due to the modern lifestyle, junk foods, high cholesterol, and obesity. Follow the below steps:

1. Check your serum cholesterol level and blood sugar level.

2. I suggest tablet Ursodeoxycholic acid (anti-cholesterol) 150 mg for fatty liver.

3. Drink lemon juice.

4. Eat more green leafy vegetables and fruits.

5. Restrict junk foods.

6. Do regular exercise and maintain ideal body weight.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
