Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have severe itching all over my private parts. I got a massage from a massage center professional and had sex. I do not know whether she had any disease or infection. But she had a cut in her hand. Can this spread HIV infection if she had any? What should be my next step? I am worried. Please help.
Kindly help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
It is important to seek medical attention immediately. While the risk of HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) transmission from a massage therapist with a cut is relatively low, it is still possible, especially if there is direct contact with blood.
Here are some steps you should take:
Consult a doctor: Visit a healthcare professional as soon as possible for an evaluation. They can assess your symptoms and recommend appropriate tests.
Get tested for STIs (sexually transmitted infections): Request an HIV test and other sexually transmitted infection (STI) tests.
Discuss your concerns: Be open and honest with your doctor about the massage incident and your concerns about HIV transmission.
Remember, it is important to avoid self-diagnosis and seek professional medical advice. Early diagnosis and treatment are crucial for managing any infections or health conditions.
Also, let me know if you would want me to provide more information about HIV transmission or the symptoms of STIs.
I hope this information will help you.
Kindly revert in case of queries.
Thank you.
