Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been having trouble with penetrative sex recently. After a few minutes, I start feeling sore and the sensation becomes unpleasant, especially when the movement is fast. We were using a lubricant but it does not seem to help my problem. I quickly lost interest and wanted to finish as soon as possible. I have also been to a gynecologist and a urologist with bladder problems, do you think they might be connected to that?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. Low libido has many reasons.

  1. Infections - Infections can be due to urine infection.
  2. Diabetes and hypertension make sure blood pressure and blood sugar are under control.
  3. Hormonal disturbances - Low testosterone, low levels of thyroid, high levels of prolactin, check for TFT, prolactin, and testosterone.
  4. Obesity - Plan for regular exercise and yoga.
  5. High cholesterol - Check for lipid profile and plan for regular exercise.
  6. Chronic disease or on any chronic medication.
  7. Anxiety can also cause libido issues.
  8. You need to do USG (ultrasonography) pelvis to rule out pelvis infection, thyroid check-up free T3, T4, TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone), lipid profile to know cholesterol level, blood pressure, and RBS (random blood sugar).
  9. Kindly share more details regarding the above reason so that we can work on the cause and treatment.
  10. You can use the tablet Mildfil 5 mg twice a day as a temporary solution.
  11. I hope this has helped. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
