Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am interested in getting a Hyaluronic acid injection in the penis to help increase size. However, I came to know that the doctor only injects on the shaft and not on the glans, saying the glans is at a higher risk. Do you agree with this? Also, are there any risks or long-term health risks of getting Hyaluronic acid injections as often as once every two years?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern. Hyaluronic acid is used to revitalize the corpora and increase penile size. It is recommended and does not carry risk. It is a great option, and I encourage you to go for it. Simple procedure with good results and low risk. It is done under local Anesthesia. I do stem cell injections, including the glans, and did not get complications as long as the injection depth into corpora is good. So there is no significant risk associated with this procedure.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

It seems like a great option, something I would do every three years. However, I recently spoke to a cosmetic surgeon who warned that repeated Hyaluronic acid injections could result in fibrosis. And that over time, the body will develop antibodies to the Hyaluronic acid so it will be absorbed faster and faster. So instead, he advised me of ligament detachment or liposuction. What is your opinion on this?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern. Of course, the plastic surgeon will advise for those procedures. I think that procedure will be more invasive, cause side effects, and need time for healing. Hyaluronic acid rarely induces an immune reaction. It is a good option. No harm in trying it once every three years. You can always choose another treatment if you do not like it.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.
