I am 21, male. What causes enlarged para-aortic lymph nodes?

Hello doctor,
I am a 21-year-old male, and I recently did an MRI scan for my lower back pain. The report showed I have mildly herniated discs, and that is not the concern here.
The report also showed that I have an enlarged lymph node in the para-aortic region, and I should do a CT scan. I did an abdominal CT scan, and the CT report showed that a few enlarged left para-aortic lymph nodes were inferior to the left renal hilum—clinical correlation with further relevant examination or follow-up and SOS.
A contrast scan is suggested. No free fluid is present in the abdomen. No radiodense renal calculi or hydroureteronephrosis is seen.
What does this suggest? I have no stomach-related symptoms at all except constipation from the past six to seven days in fact I live a pretty active life. Is it possible that my back injury caused an infection due to which the lymph nodes are enlarged?

Actually, your report is quite normal, so you do not have to worry about it. Any previous infection can cause enlarged lymph nodes. No free fluid means there is no pus or fluid accumulation in the abdominal cavity, which is normal.
Normally, there should be no fluid in the abdomen. No calculus means you do not have any kidney stones or diseases of the kidney. There is no hydronephrosis (hydronephrosis is a kidney disease).
So, these terms suggest a normal study. If you have any ongoing symptoms, please let me know. I will prescribe you medicine accordingly.
