Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

One of my wisdom teeth is growing in at an angle. It does not feel impacted but it is digging into my cheek which resulted in a cut, and the tooth agitates the cut whenever I move my jaw. The pain is not bad but still, I was wondering if it is necessary to remove it.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Since it is causing trouble to your cheek and cuts as well, my suggestion would be to get that wisdom tooth removed. If at all you do not want tooth removal, that tooth can be checked and any sharp margins if present can be rounded off. That decreases the trouble, but it is temporary relief. Not a permanent solution. So better visit a dentist and his clinical evaluation can suggest you a better treatment plan.
