Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have had the rash for about a week and have taken antihistamines. I saw a pharmacist today who said she had never seen something like this before so I was sent to a minor injuries unit who told me to come back in two days if it had not gone. It leaks straw-colored liquid and is very itchy and swollen with raised bumps almost like blisters. I do not really have fever symptoms. I am just very tired.
Hi,
I am glad you chose icliniq for your medical-related queries.
I understand your concern and will try to help you with it.
I have noted your concern, and I have viewed the images (attachment removed to protect patient identity). It is infected eczematous dermatitis (IED). I suggest you take an oral antibiotic like either Amoxycillin 500 mg or Cephalexin 500 mg, thrice daily for a week. In addition, I suggest you take an oral antihistamine like tablet Cetirizine 10 mg once a day for a few days. I also suggest you apply a potent topical steroid like either Mometasone furoate 0.1 % cream or Clobetasol propionate 0.05 % cream, twice daily for a few days.
Thank you for consulting me.
You can always reach me at icliniq.com.
