Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have a question about my blood results. I had blood taken for my second round of lipedema surgery, and I would like to know if these values are all right. I always have high inflammatory markers (high CRP, usually high WBC, and high ESR). I have lipedema, obesity, back pain, and constant low-grade inflammation because of it. My thrombocytes are always on the higher side. Is this of any concern? I am worried about my PT quickly, and it is 135 %. Is this fine? I am also concerned about my high fibrinogen. Is this something to worry about? Are these results good enough to have the lipedema liposuction surgery soon?

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

RBC (red blood cell), hemoglobin, and hematocrit are normal. WBC (white blood cells) are slightly raised. C-reactive protein is raised. It seems to be due to obesity and musculoskeletal inflammation. INR (International normalized ratio)and PT (prothrombin time) are normal. Increased WBCs suggest mild infection or stress. Not a serious issue at all. Do you have a fever or any signs of illness? Are you taking any medicine?

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thanks for the reply.

I have severe anxiety. There is no fever, and I take Sertraline 100 mg a day. A current worry is my platelet count over the past few years. Is this reactive thrombocytosis due to my constant inflammation? My CRP and ESR have been raised for as long as I can remember, and my WBC is always normal. Can I go ahead with my planned surgery in a few weeks?

Thanks.

I understand your concern.

Do not worry. You can go for liposuction. To relieve anxiety and depression, I suggest you the following:

  1. Do yoga and pranayam regularly.
  2. Go for walks regularly.
  3. Do meditation regularly.
  4. Avoid negative thoughts.
  5. To reduce weight.
  6. Avoid water during food.
  7. Take water one hour after food.
  8. Avoid high-calorie food.
  9. Burn calories through regular exercise.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.
