Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Some mosquitoes bit me on my thigh during the night, and by morning it was a bit red and very minor swelling in about two-inch diameter of the skin. I just ignored thinking it was just a mosquito. But after that, the itching started in the area. Now, after four days, the itching is going through the skin. The reddish skin and the swelling are the same, very minor as the first day. I am irritated by the itching. If I apply a wet towel over the area, it gets subsidized for some time. There is no issue in the rest of the area. I do not have any allergies to any food. I did not see the mosquito which bit me, but I know there were a few mosquitoes in the bedroom during the night.
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
Please mix Fudic cream (fusidic acid) and Cutivate cream (propylene glycol, mineral oil, Ceteth-20, isopropyl mystirate, cetostearyl alcohol, citric acid, and sodium phosphate) in equal amounts and apply on lesions two times a day for seven days at least. Take tablet Cetrix 10 mg (paracetamol, phenylpropanolamine, and cetrizine) at night for seven days. You may feel sleepy after that, so avoid driving. Hopefully, it will get better. Sometimes it takes a week for a reaction to settle down.
You have been itching, so it persisted for four days.
However, please consult a physician, discuss with them and start taking the medications with their consent.
It will be alright, do not worry.
I hope this helps.
Thank you and take care.
