Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 16-year-old male. I was not able to sleep. Last night, I played a videogame for a couple of hours before sleep. When I went to sleep at about two o clock, I could not fall asleep, even if I tried thinking of something else. My brain basically played the game over and over again and did not stop. I had this problem till eight o clock in the morning and I am not able to sleep. It is the first time something like this has happened. Sometimes my brain does calculation over and over a thousand times. Please help me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. It is due to the game only. They are running in your subconscious mind and due to that, you are not able to sleep. It will become fine within a few days. Try to stop playing games and divert your mind from playing and try to do other things such as watching a movie or spend time with family. You will become tired and fall asleep. So please do not worry and do not stress yourself. You can easily cure this condition. When you have these thoughts again, try to follow the instructions given. If anything else, please let me know.
