Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have had skin problems. In my thigh, I have some lumps and itching with pain. I felt pain in my whole body. My age is 42, and my weight is 242 pounds. Please help.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern. After viewing the picture (the attachments are removed to protect the patient's identity) and reading your problem, I see that you suffer from a fungal infection over the skin of your thigh called Tinea. This common problem usually happens with sweating with overweight or obesity and sometimes with lack of proper hygiene. It would be best if you apply a cream containing Terbinafine (Lamisil) two times a day for seven to 14 days, ensure the area is clean, and take a shower daily. If the skin condition is not responding to the cream, there could be a chance of other skin conditions, including eczema or bacterial infection. You will need to see your general practitioner or a skin doctor. I hope you find it helpful. Kind regards.
