Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Since I was a young kid, I have developed the habit of imagining things and making up characters which I liked. I also have the habit of craving to acquire the things that I like the most, even if it means taking them from someone else and keeping them for myself. Can you please describe what kind of problem I have and the ways to overcome?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query,

We all have imaginations. This virtual world actually aids in relaxing us by enhancing our imaginations and helping us to establish goals. You can say a escape from day to day hurdles and problems but when it become in excess, then it start creating problems. You make a schedule for yourself, define daily short term goals like, studying a chapter and try to follow it strictly, give a aversive stimulus to yourself when you go deep in imagination like pinching yourself. Regarding taking away things then, we need to assess if you are suffering from kleptomania.

Please follow up for further assistances.

Thank you.
