Hi doctor,
I have shoulder and collarbone pain, especially while working out. But I do not experience any pain when I am not working out. Also, the pain is prominent on the left side when I do push-ups. What to do?
Please help.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
In my opinion, you either have bicipital tendonitis or AC (Acromioclavicular) joint inflammation. So, I suggest you to follow the instructions mentioned below.
1. Take tablet Piroxicam (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory) 20 mg, one tablet at night, after food for ten days.
2. Take tablet Rabeprazole (antacid) 20 mg, one tablet at night, before food for ten days.
3. Take tablet Shelcal (calcium and vitamin D3) 500 mg, one tablet in the morning before food for 30 days.
4. Apply Dolonex ointment (topical Piroxicam) 5 mg after waking up in the morning.
I suggest you to take these tablets if you are not allergic to them. In addition, do not take these medicines if you have bronchial asthma. Kindly follow up if you have any adverse reactions.
In addition, I suggest you to follow the instructions mentioned below,
1. Apply ice pack twice daily.
2. Avoid going to the gym for two weeks.
3. Avoid physiotherapy for two weeks.
4. Also, kindly get an X-ray of the affected shoulder joint - AP (anterior-posterior) view.
Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them and take the medications with their consent.
Kindly follow up with the X-ray reports, as they should be correlated with clinical findings.
I hope this was helpful.
