Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been suffering from leg pain for the past few years. The pain started in my legs after I got a high fever that lasted for more than a week. Since then the pain is persistent. But for the past few days, the pain has increased. When I stretch the leg and press it, the pain goes away. Besides, I have been feeling very weak for the past few days. I have done antistreptolysin O titer and CBC test but the report was normal. I even took multivitamin tablets for the same but the pain did not go.

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern. Some potential causes of persistent leg pain in young people include musculoskeletal disorders such as fibromyalgia, myositis, or nerve compression syndrome like sciatica. Given that you have been experiencing pain in both legs for over a year, it is important to get a thorough evaluation to determine the underlying cause. In the meantime, it is important to take care of your general health by getting enough rest, eating a balanced diet, and staying hydrated. Gentle stretching, heat therapy, and massage may also provide temporary relief of your symptoms. However, it is important to avoid overexertion or any activity that worsens your pain until you have a diagnosis and a treatment plan in place.

I hope this has helped you.

Thank you.
