Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Would NorLevo pill work if a female has taken Ecstasy pill and after 10 hours she takes the morning-after pill. Will this have an effect or not? Please, can you advise me on this and ovulation? And also, how long does it take a female to fall pregnant?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

There have not been documented evidence of Ecstasy (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine)having a reaction with an OCP (oral contraceptive pill) pill, but sometimes the efficiency of the pill may come down with medications of this category. It is ideal to consult a gynecologist and look for an additional option like intrauterine device that can be inserted and prevent pregnancy within five days of intercourse, provided you do not have an active pelvic infection and other contraindications for its use. Generally, pregnancy happens when intercourse is done from day 10 to day 19 of the cycle, where ovulation chances are high if done on day 14, pregnancy has a high possibility, and fertilization happens, and implantation happens after 10 days roughly.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
