Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 35-year-old female living in an island country. My concern is that I have black spots on my legs that are increasing rapidly. I have consulted many doctors and have taken different types of medicine, but there has been no improvement. What may be the reason for this? Do I have to worry?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com

I can understand your concern. Thank you for providing the information. It looks like Lichen planus, a nonspecific allergy due to self immunity change. You have to take treatment for a few months regularly and follow up. A skin punch biopsy can be done to confirm the condition. Accordingly, treatment can be planned. If you have any queries, you can ask. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply. Is there any medicine I can take? Do I have to worry about the condition?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com

For the time being, you can start cream Mometasone 0.1 % at night for 15 days, ointment Tacrolimus 0.1 % in the morning and afternoon for one month, and tablet Levocetirizine 5 mg at night for 15 days (if itching). If it still does not improve, oral tablets might be required. However, you do not need to worry too much. It only needs systematic treatment.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
