Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am due to get the next set of Invisalign that was fitted in two months ago. It has all been paid for. I have been biting the skin on my fingers for my entire life and using the front two teeth for this. They were never perfectly straight. However, I seem to notice a slight movement in one of my two front teeth. Sometimes the tooth feels a little weaker, although dentists have checked before and say they are healthy and fine. I am really concerned and wonder if there are any solutions. I will see my orthodontist this week. And I still hope for my treatment, but I wonder, if it has moved, what will happen with this treatment plan?
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have gone through your question I can understand your concern.
The movement of teeth by such habits is there but too slow, and that does not affect the health of teeth. If you feel weakness in the morning, it is normal because of the periodontal ligament. The doctors must have done an OPG (orthopantomogram) before the treatment plan was envisaged. If you have certain doubts about it, upload a picture of your OPG, X-ray so that I may provide you with a second opinion. This is the only way out.
Hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any further questions.
Regards.
