Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My temperature is higher than normal. I have lost my appetite, and I vomit after eating food. There is a slight pain in my neck which comes and goes. I feel like sleeping, and my mouth has a horrible taste. There is some yellow liquid-like thing that gathers on my tongue, and I guess that makes my taste horrible. These complaints have been present for the past three days.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I thoroughly read your query and understand your concern. You can have an acute infective condition that can lead to vomiting with fever. It can be gastroenteritis-like infective etiology. Your posterior pharynx has to be examined along with lymph node palpation in the neck. After examination, reports that are needed can be investigated. CBC (complete blood count) can be done for a primary workup. For vomiting, a mouth-dissolving tablet, like Ondem-MD (Ondansetron), can be prescribed. The head should be kept elevated while sleeping to prevent reflux. Consult a physician for examination. Hope this helps. Kind regards. Thank you.
