Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have a small cluster of lumps on the crown of my head. They are solid, immovable lumps that have developed over the last few weeks. In the last few days, I have noticed that I am having pain in my head where the lumps are. I do not have headaches per day; it feels as though my skull is sore and achy. I also have had ringing in my ears recently and wonder if this is about lumps. I generally feel well in myself, no sign of a temperature or anything untoward. However, I am concerned about these lumps, especially the pain that they are causing.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thanks for the query. I can understand your concern. According to your statement, you have been suffering from a small cluster of lumps on the crown of your head, which are solid, immovable lumps that have developed over the last few weeks. They are painful too. It is difficult to predict what they may be, and is there any relation with ringing? If there is a presence of redness, swelling, hotness, and soreness in the affected area, it can result from inflammation due to any infection. You can apply a hot compress on your lump area two to three times daily, and that will help to expel the pus if present and reduce the size. If soft tissue infections cause them, then Flucloxacillin or Clindamycin orally helps to heal sooner. Again, biopsy or fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) from the lump can confirm the underlying causes and then treat them accordingly. The picture of that area will be helpful and effective. Take care. In case of any other query, ask me.
