Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I had an X-ray last Thursday, and I got the result today. It says I have fibrosis in my right upper lobe. I had a history of pulmonary tuberculosis two years back, and I took a six-month medication, and I am done with it. I just want to ask if fibrosis can be cured if I take medication, do exercise daily, and eat healthy foods?
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Fibrosis is a feature of chronic inflammation and your lung fibrosis is because of that. Tuberculosis is a chronic granulomatous inflammation and can lead to fibrosis. Fibrosis is irreversible condition and cannot be revert back.
Thank you and take care.
Regards.
