Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My MRI report shows 111 STIR-defined hyperintensities noted in the periurethral and perivaginal regions. I am attaching the reports of it. Kindly review.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your case and I understand your concern. I have seen the reports attached (attachment removed to protect the patient’s identity). According to your reports, the hyperintensities could be because of healed fissures and hemorrhoids. You must have seen whenever our part of the body gets injured and heals the surrounding area of the skin becomes a little thick and hard. So this is also the same kind of situation. There is nothing to worry about. But I suggest you take a high-fiber diet to avoid constipation. You can also use lactose whenever you have hard stools. Have more green leafy vegetables and fruits in your diet. Keep yourself hydrated and drink at least three liters of water per day. Are the constipation and pain still there?

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

The stabbing rectum pain is still there and spasms sometimes happen not as bad as before but it does. There has been a constant faint tailbone pain that burns. Has it to do with my sonography report showing kidney stones and MRI showing fibroids? Do fibroids give hemorrhoids and tailbone pain?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

There is no relationship between fibroid or hemorrhoids with tailbone pain. Fibroid usually causes irregular periods and heavy menstruation and sometimes lowers abdominal pain. Also, the size of the fibroid is small so there is nothing to worry about that. If you have tailbone pain then you should always use a cushion while sitting and carry it while traveling also. I suggest you take a tablet of Zerodol SP whenever needed for pain relief.

Thank you.
