Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My son has fever, chills, headache, fatigue, and vomiting. Can this be due to malaria? My neighbors say that malaria is common here, and I think my son is suffering from it. He has undergone blood tests, but I am unable to stay calm. If he has malaria, what should I do next? What precautions and preventive measures should he follow? Should he be admitted, and what foods should I give him during recovery?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
If he tests positive for malaria, I suggest he must take some antimalarial medicines. If he tests negative, he might need some antibiotics, anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, and anti-emetic medications. Thank you.
