Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

After engaging in masturbation or sexual activity, I consistently notice two red dots appearing in the same spot. Could you please provide guidance on this matter?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

Upon reviewing the provided picture (attachments removed to protect the patient’s identity), if there has been unprotected sexual activity, it is crucial to consider the potential for a sexually transmitted infection. Necessary tests might include:

  1. TPHA (treponema pallidum hemagglutination).

  2. HPV DNA PCR (Human papillomavirus test polymerase chain reaction).

  3. Herpes simplex virus (HSV) type one and two IgG (Immunoglobulin G).

  4. Herpes simplex virus (HSV) type one and two IgM.

  5. Chlamydia trachomatis IgG.

  6. HIV type one and two antibodies.

  7. HBsAg (Hepatitis B surface antigen test).

  8. Complete urine analysis.

If the issue is not related to unprotected sexual activity, it might be a bacterial infection. In such instances, Mupirocin can be applied topically, and 100 milligrams of Doxycycline can be taken twice daily for five days. Should itching persist, consider the potential for a fungal infection. For this, apply a combination of Clotrimazole and Beclomethasone locally and take one tablet of Cetirizine once in the night for relief. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her, and take the medicines with their consent.

Ensure regular cleansing of the genital area twice daily using lukewarm water, avoiding strong pH soaps.

Feel free to follow up if you have any further questions.

Thank you.
