Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 25 years old. I usually have a regular period with a 27 to 30 days cycle. Usually, I have five days period and spotting on the sixth. This month my flow was a little irregular (no flow on the third day and normal flow on the fourth and fifth day). But now I am having a little red or pinkish discharge after two days of my period. I used a vibrator yesterday. I do not know if that hurt me and that is the reason for this. And I can see the discharge more today. I also had a yeast infection in the past (six months before). Currently, I am not sexually active for the past six months. I did a scan test on my uterus and it was normal. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Based on the information you provided, it is possible that the discharge you are experiencing is due to the use of the vibrator. Vibrators or other sexual activities can cause some irritation or trauma to the genital area, leading to spotting or light bleeding. However, it is also important to note that there are other potential causes of intermenstrual bleeding, such as hormonal imbalances, infections, or structural abnormalities. If the discharge persists or worsens, or if you experience other symptoms such as pain, fever, or foul-smelling discharge, it would be best to go for an ultrasound.

In the meantime, you can try to avoid using the vibrator or other sexual activities that may cause further irritation, and practice good hygiene to reduce the risk of infections. You can also monitor your symptoms and keep track of your menstrual cycle to help identify any patterns or changes.

Feel free to contact me for further queries.

Thanks and take care.
