Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 26 years old and recently I am facing a situation where I get an erection from hand stimulation but no sensation. The color of the glans penis is looking purple not pink totally as it earlier was. On abstaining 10 days from masturbation, light amount of sensitivity returned but purple color is still present. I have the habit of masturbation but never experienced any loss of sensation. How can I regain my sensations on the penis completely? I am currently on Vitamin E, Nano Leo, and Cialis 5 milligrams.

Thank you. Please help.

Hi,

I am glad you chose icliniq for your medical-related queries.

I understand your concern and will try to help you with it.

First and foremost, it is imperative to eliminate subjective factors when considering changes in sensation and color. Sometimes, individuals may perceive alterations in color or sensation that are not objectively detectable upon examination. Following a thorough examination, it may be determined that these changes are attributable to subjective or psychological factors rather than underlying medical issues. Therefore, a comprehensive examination is crucial to obtain accurate results. If we entertain the assumption that the observed changes are indeed real, it raises the possibility of nerve or vascular damage resulting from factors such as excessive pressure, recent surgery, trauma, or accidents. Nerve function governs sensation, while blood circulation influences the coloration of the penis. In such circumstances, it is advisable to allow the penis to rest for a period of two to four weeks. This period of rest may help alleviate the issue. Additionally, it is important to minimize pressure during masturbation and opt for a soft, lubricated hand rather than a dry one.
