Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 25-year-old woman. I like my skin tone very much. But, I have pigmented skin. I see a lot of discoloration on my face, near my eyes, and near my mouth. I consulted a dermatologist and he recommended Vichy cream overnight, which helped me a lot in getting an even skin. But, the wrinkles around my eyes are still there, which makes me look aged. I have a very much deep tan on my hands, neck, and feet area. Please suggest me some body lotion to get an even skin tone. I have been using cucumber on my eyes religiously but still no results. Hence, I am requesting a dermatology-recommended eye, face and also body cream. If u can suggest something for my daily routine also would be great. I have dry sensitive skin. I am using Emolene moisturizer and Neutrogena sun block which works well on my skin. I am using Vichy cream at night. Should I include anything more to get even skin? What facial can I go for? Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your history and seen the photographs (attachment removed to protect patient identity) you have attached. You should go for Wunder eye cream for the pigmentation and fine lines around the eyes twice daily. As far as even skin tone is concerned use OneTone cream on the affected parts twice daily. You can continue this treatment for four weeks and revert back as reduction in pigmentation will take time. Continue with Emolene cream, Sunblock and Vichy cream. You should use Cetaphil cleansing lotion for sensitive skin for washing your face and also take an antioxidant like Antoxid HC capsule daily for 2-3 months.

Besides this avoid going out in the sun and make use of an umbrella, sunglasses, hat, and scarf whenever out in the sun. Apply the sunscreen on the entire face at intervals of 3-4 hours during the day time and apply under eye cream and OneTone cream 10 minutes before the application of the sunblock during the day time. Also include plenty of fruits and vegetables in your diet and make sure you have at least 6 -7 hours of sound sleep. Go for facials with less scrubbing and those which include masks as this will help your dry skin.

    The Probable causes

    1. Hormonal. 2. Genetic. 3. Sun induced.

    Probable diagnosis

    Perioral and periorbital pigmentation.

    Regarding follow up

Revert back after four weeks for follow up to a dermatologist online.---> https://www.icliniq.com/ask-a-doctor-online/dermatologist

    Patient's Query

    Hi doctor,

Thank you for your quick response.

You have suggested OneTone cream for pigmented skin. Can I use this for my body as well? If it is just for the face then please recommend any body cream as well to get rid of the deep pigmentation on hands and feet. Is OneTone cream good for sensitive skin? Because of earlier creams containing Glycolic Acid, I tried and it created white patches on my skin. Hence, I am very much particular about the cream as I have sensitive skin. I am not expecting results to come immediately. I would like to use products that give results in a certain period of time.

    Hi,

    Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, OneTone cream can be used on hands and feet. It can be used by individuals with sensitive skin.
