Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Recently, I was diagnosed with keratoconus. I did not use any spectacle. I used to see little blur mostly in the evening. My left eye is normal, but my right eye is most affected. I have attached one file. Please go through the file for the reference of my eye standards. Six months ago, I went for corneal topography test. Shall I go for C3R? Or should I look for any other options? Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through the records that you have sent (attachment removed to protect patient identity). First thing is that you need to confirm the diagnosis of keratoconus. From your explanation, I feel you do not have keratoconus. Please describe what problems you have and how it started. Did you use glasses or contact lenses before? Did you have any allergic eye problems? Do you haveany family history of high power glasses or eye problems? Also share the pictures of your eyes and old records for more clear diagnosis and treatment. Revert back with the answers for the above questions.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I went for normal eye checkup. I did not use any spectacles before. Doctor performed topography and told I have keratoconus. I do not have blurred images, but I see ghost images that too mostly at night. Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

As you do not have any symptoms and you have good vision with or without glasses, most probably you do not have keratoconus. Mild amount of irregularities are common on topography. Everyone need not worry and treatment is required only in severe and progressive cases. You can send pictures of topography and old records for me to analyze that. Revert back with the test reports. I hope I have addressed your concerns. Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
