I would like to have an opinion about my brother's recent medical condition. He has been diagnosed with neurocysticercosis. Please explain.

It is caused by the tapeworm Taenia solium, which is commonly found in pigs. The infection can cause damage to the cerebral cortex initially and may later involve the cerebellum, which is responsible for motor coordination. Symptoms of neurocysticercosis can include seizures, gait abnormalities, and late in the disease if the pituitary gland involves, then it may lead to many endocrine system anomalies. It is important to consult with a medical professional for the proper diagnosis and treatment of this condition.
