Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 22-year-old woman with a regular menstrual cycle of 30 to 32 days. My last menstrual period occurred in the middle of last month. Last month I had a sexual encounter with my boyfriend wherein he wore a condom throughout, and there was no ejaculation inside the condom. However, I am concerned about the possibility of pregnancy due to the presence of precum. Should I be worried? Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

You are correct that there might be some level of concern given the timing of your menstrual cycle. While the possibility of ovulation during that time exists, it is reassuring that your male partner used protection. To address your worries, wait for your expected period this month. If it does not arrive as scheduled, take a urine pregnancy test using your first-morning urine. When you take the test, ensure to capture a clear picture of the test result card. Feel free to share the result with me through this app, or if you prefer, you can also book a consultation here to discuss your concerns further. The chances of pregnancy appear to be low due to the use of protection, but it is always a good idea to stay vigilant and cautious. If you do miss your period, taking the test will provide more clarity on the situation.

I hope this helps. Feel free to contact me if you have any further queries.

Thank you.

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

There was no penetration. Should I worry even after that?

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

That is what I said it is better to be cautious though the chances are less if only some fluid went inside through touch.

Thank you.
