Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 54-year-old female. I was diagnosed with migraine six months ago. The doctor prescribed Flunarizine 10mg, with a dosage of one tablet daily at night, and asked me to consult again after six months. I have now stopped taking the medicine because I do not have daily headaches anymore. I only get a migraine attack when I am stressed or tense. Should I continue taking the Flunarizine 10mg tablet, or can I stop taking it?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and understand your concerns. Continuous treatment is necessary for individuals who experience two or more migraine attacks in a month. If you do not have such frequent attacks, you can safely discontinue the medication after consulting your doctor. I also believe that, as a preventive measure, you need to take care of managing stress in your daily life. I am confident that simple yet effective interventions will help reduce the frequency of your headaches.

I hope this helps you. Feel free to write back to me.

Thanks and regards.
