My baby has white spots on her teeth. Is there anything to be done?

Hi doctor,

My daughter is 11 months old and started having her upper teeth when she was nine months old. And I noticed she has white spots along the gumline and some in the middle. I took a photo and showed it to a dentist here, and she said it's hypocalcified enamel. My question is, is it reversible? What do I do to not to make it worse, and what causes it? I only give fruits and vegetables as food and water. And I also breastfeed. What can I do to prevent the worsening of her teeth condition?

I have seen the pictures (attachment removed to protect patient identity). The spots cannot be reversed. They form during fetal development inside the womb and the first three months after birth. Any dietary deficiency for you or your baby may cause, or sometimes even genetic predisposition is found. There is nothing to do other than maintain the teeth through brushing. Such hypocalcified enamel can break down fast if proper brushing is not done, and the cavity may form soon.
