Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 18 years old and I am sexually active. Last month, I had sex twice using condoms. I did not get my periods for the past two months. Frequently, I have delayed periods for few days. So I took a pregnancy test last week and it came back negative. I do not know whether I am pregnant or not.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I need to know the exact date of your last period. Please mention whether you have any weight gain, excessive facial or body hair, delayed periods, and dark pigmentation around the neck or armpits. As your pregnancy test is negative, you have a chance of developing PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). Nowadays, physical activity got reduced and stress plays an important factor in causing this problem. It causes hormonal imbalance and so you have delayed cycles. Do regular exercise at home. Eat green leafy vegetables and fruits. Drink milk regularly. Do meditation regularly. Follow your diet and exercise regime regularly to avoid having irregular cycles. Avoid taking excessive cheese, fat, butter, ice-cream, fast food, and junk foods.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
