Can I use Ciprofloxacin cream to treat papules and white spots on my urethral opening?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had papules and white spots on the left side of my urethral opening. I am currently using Fudic and Mupirocin cream for the same, which is not effective. I read on the internet that Ciprofloxacin skin cream is effective for this condition.

1. Can you please suggest which Ciprofloxacin skin cream I should use for the same?

2. What medication should I use to prevent testicular torsion?

Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Ciprofloxacin skin creams are unstable, and they would not have any effects on the skin. I suggest you use Nadoxin gel (Nadifloxacin) as it works better than the Ciprofloxacin creams. You can consult your specialist doctor and take medications with their consent. As far as my knowledge, there is no such tablet to prevent testicular torsion. You can consult a general surgeon for that.

Thank you.
