How to avoid getting wet dreams even after getting sufficient sexual activity?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 22 years old, and I have been having wet dreams for a long time. I usually have sex three to four rounds twice a week, but just the next day, I will get a wet dream. Even if I get enough sex for three consecutive days, I still get wet dreams. Is this normal?

I want you to help me with this issue.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Wet dreams or nightfall, also known as nocturnal emission, are normal. It can happen due to increased erotic stimulus mentally, physically, or visually even without sex or masturbation.

At this age, you have good testosterone production; thus, about 20,000 sperms are produced per minute, which is a lot of semen production. Therefore, you need to let it out by masturbation or sex. If not, it will come out on its own when you are very much relaxed (during sleep).

Since you know the cause, it is easy to treat the condition. I suggest you to reduce the frequent erotic stimulus, masturbation, or sex. You can reduce the frequent erotic stimulus by these suggestions-

1. You must get some sex education.

2. You must practice regular physical exercises.

3. You must make some sleep adjustments.

4. You must improve the quality of your sleep.

5. You must eat a healthy and balanced diet.

6. You must program your leisure time.

7. You must develop spirituality in yourself.

8. You must take a cold bath.

For a temporary solution, I suggest you to take tablet Pari (Paroxetine) 10 mg once at night for 15 days.

Thank you.
