Why do I have left chest and hand pain?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 29-year-old. I am getting chest pain in left side and my left hand is also paining. I consulted with a General MD and Cardiologist for my problem and my ECG, TMT, X- Ray is normal. Doctors told it is eosinophil problem and I used medicine for that. It was cured at that time and now I am getting pain. Doctors are telling that there is no problem and it might be due to gastric or muscle pain. But I am getting pain in that area only. I have not that much pain while sitting and only while sleeping I am having pain. I am using medicine as they prescribed but still I am getting chest pain. Kindly suggest if it is related to severe heart problem. How can I get the medicine for this problem?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern, but there is no need to be worried. You will be fine. I went through the test results (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity), and all the tests are normal. The chest pain is definitely not cardiac-related. If it were, there would have been a change in the results. I will suggest you include yoga and stretching exercises in addition to your medications. You need not worry since you have issues with anxiety. Anxiety will worsen your chest pain if not controlled. Wishing you a quick recovery. Best regards

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply. Can you please tell me if everything is normal? Why am I getting chest pain? Can you please suggest any medicine to reduce my chest pain? Since due to this pain only I am getting fear. Is any cholesterol test is needed to check how my heart is working? Please suggest good medicine for a healthy heart.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

A lot of other diseases can cause chest pain. Stomach ulcers, costochondritis, asthma can all cause chest pain. There is no evidence to suggest that your pain is caused by heart disease. You can do a lipid profile test as a precaution if you want. You can take tablet Ibuprofen 500 mg twice daily for five days. Best regards.
