Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My partner and I did not have intercourse, but can rubbing against the genitals without clothes cause pregnancy? My last period date was in the first week of last month. I had my period late in the last week of this month. I noticed a brown spotting or discharge for three days, but home strip pregnancy tests were negative. Am I pregnant? Is it normal? Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

Regarding your question of whether rubbing the genitalia can result in pregnancy, my answer is no. You will not be pregnant this way. If you had no intercourse, then you are not pregnant. Concerning your transient period, I suggest you take the following after consulting with your physician:

  1. Tablet Medroxyprogesterone 10 mg once a day.
  2. Tablet Norethisterone 5 mg orally.

If your symptoms persist, schedule another appointment with me for a follow-up.

I wish you good health.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
