Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am a 34-year-old female. I am interested in increasing longevity. I have read scriptures where people lived for more than 100 years. And even in their old age, they looked pristine. I also read about some trials on mice using essential amino acids like Isoleucine to increase their lifespan. I need to know the feasibility of such experiments. Also, what if I take those supplements? Will I be able to live longer?
Please advise.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
People indeed lived more than a hundred years, and you and I have seen our close ones living up to a hundred years. It depends on your lifestyle and food intake during the earlier days. There was no chemical in food, which could be why people used to live longer. But nowadays, you can see that farming has increased the use of chemicals. So it is affecting our health.
To maintain a healthy lifestyle, people should get good exercise throughout life. A balanced diet, which includes green vegetables, soups, and fruits. People used to sleep on time, and they used to eat before six or seven in the evening. After that, they do not eat anything till the next day and maintain a proper schedule for work and diet.
You can use any substance for longevity after consulting your doctor, but I would suggest you follow a healthy lifestyle, and you will live long.
I hope this information will help you.
