What are the ways to manage an orthodontic relapse?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had a braces treatment for protruded teeth three years ago. The two premolars in the upper jaw were removed. After the completion of the treatment, I was asked to wear retainers. I did not wear them properly. Now, my teeth look protruded again. Can this be corrected? Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. Yes, the relapse can be corrected. As you have undergone braces treatment previously, I suggest you go for clear aligners and retainers later. I also suggest you consult a dentist to discuss the treatment plan.

I hope this helps you.

Thank You.
