Hello,

If it affects your routine and active life, you may have an obsessive thought disorder. Do you have a problem with frequent hand washing or counting? Do you have a sad mood? Do you have crying spells without reason? Do you consume alcohol or cannabis?

Please give me the above details so that I can help you.

Thank you and take care.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am an overthinker. I want to know the solution for a situation now that will happen in the future. I always think about my family. I have no issues with cleanliness. I am losing interest in things day by day. I keep delaying stuff in my personal life. I am perfect at my work. Only after I reach home, I am not active. I have no sad mood. I am happily married to my boyfriend, but we are staying in different countries due to visa issues. However, due to the long distance, my boyfriend was always an imagination to me. This affected me so much that I still could not feel his presence while he was with me during my vacation. I do not drink alcohol. It is I do not live at present. For example, When I ride a bike, my mind will imagine something. But if this gets worst, I feel like I never remember or enjoy the best moments that will happen in my life. I need my mind to be in the present. I want to stop imagining things to comfort myself.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern. You have underlying depression due to your family's stress-long distance relationship. You are living alone. It would help if you started doing meditation daily at home. It will surely help you to deal with imagination issues. You must spend quality time with your friends daily. You must try to meet your boyfriend once per year. Once your depression starts improving then you will stop imagining. Imagination is one way to deal with your depression. I suggest you should go for blood tests such as complete blood count, thyroid profile, vitamin B12, and vitamin D3 levels. You may need to take tablet Escitalopram 10 mg daily in the future if it keeps worsening.

Thank you and take care.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have vitiligo which means I have vitamin B12 and D3 deficiency as per my knowledge. I never felt depression. Is it possible that I might not know about depression? If I have depression, I would be sad, but I am not. I also forgot to mention that I never get a happy dream. I always get some plan that scares me. Would only doing meditation and meeting friends change the state I have been suffering from for a long time?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern. You do not need to have vitiligo if you have vitamin B12 and D3 deficiency. You may have normal levels but I suggest going for vitamin B12 and D3 blood reports. It is not necessary to feel sad when you have depression. For example, you lack interest in cooking food, which is one of the symptoms of depression. Meditation and social activity will help you to deal with your depression.

Thank you and take care.
