Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
When I was a child or in my teenage I was carefree. Slowly and slowly, situations went from their best to bad. Now the situation is near to worst (of my inner peace of mind). I am an overthinker. I live in a virtual world (not necessarily online), but when I am with people. I think something else (anything and everything). My thoughts are just of no origin. No valid reason is there for my thoughts. For example, if I had an argument two years back with someone and I am sitting with my friends and enjoying it, I would suddenly remember that fight or anything. This was just an example. Normal people (if they are with their friends and enjoying themselves) then they will not recall any bad incidents two to three years old.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Repetitive thoughts are difficult to control and cause irritation and low mood. I can understand your concern. Sometimes it becomes OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) also. I would suggest you visit a psychiatrist for proper psychotherapy. Your problem is not severe, so it will be cured by counseling only. Relaxation therapies, thought-stopping are a few techniques. Engage yourself in outdoor activities. Try to mix in social gatherings. Distract yourself in difficult circumstances.
Thank you.
