Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Me and my partner are trying to conceive. I was done with one cycle of Letrozole, my eggs were small so OB gave me shots of FSH. When my eggs were mature enough, my OB gave me an HCG shot to boost my pregnancy hormones. I did ovulate, and my husband and I made love during my ovulation peaks. It has been 17 days since I tried testing my pregnancy using a home kit this morning but it was negative. I am two days delayed from my period. What does this mean? Do I need to wait for more days to check my pregnancy? Or I am not pregnant at all. Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

You still need to have sex at least two times daily with your partner to enable you to achieve pregnancy. Meeting once after this hormonal treatment is not enough to achieve results. Also, your hormones are not yet balanced which is why there is a bit of delay. And there will be no need to do a pregnancy test again because it may likely show negative. I will recommend you add tablet Bromocriptine 2.5mg once a day to boost your ovulation and I would also suggest your husband take tablet Manix 500mg once daily.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.

Regards.
